Frequently Asked Questions
 about our Nursery Outlet Sale
Where is your Outlet Sale located?   It’s held at our wholesale nursery located at 8601 Snider Road (between Socialville Foster & Irwin Simpson Roads) in Mason.  It’s easy to get to!  We have a map and directions link at the top of the page.
 
Can you tell me what’s in the sale?   We can’t tell you specific plants, but we can tell you that the sale will start with over 40,000 shrubs, evergreens, container and pre-dug trees, as well as over 160,000 potted perennials!  The inventory will be changing daily, so you’ll need to come and see what exciting plants are waiting for you.  You should know that many plants are actually restocked during the sale.
 
Your ad says “cash and carry”.  Is it, literally?   Well, it is on the “carry” part when it comes to the container shrubs and perennials, but we will offer delivery (and planting) on pre-dug and container grown trees only.  Along with good old “cash”, we will accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards.
 
Are the Outlet Sale plants guaranteed?  The balled & burlapped and larger container grown trees carry our 1-year guarantee.  Although the container shrubs are Natorp grown / Natorp quality plants, they are cash and carry only, with no guarantee.
 
Can you tell me how much the plants are discounted for the sale?   Our sale discounting will vary, including outrageously low prices in Mr. N's Bargain Bin area!
 
Tell me about the trees that are available during the sale.   We’ll have a wide variety of flowering, shade, ornamental and evergreen trees available in many different sizes, and the selection will be changing throughout the sale.  Our trees will be priced individually three different ways: for immediate pickup, to be delivered, or to be delivered and planted. Trees will be available in containers or balled & burlapped.
 
Can I come and take a look or even pre tag trees before the sale?  No, sorry.  Other than the actual sale hours, our nursery is not open to the public.  (And that wouldn’t be fair to the other shoppers, would it?)
 
What should I expect at the sale?  Can I bring my family?  It’s a fun time!  Be sure to dress appropriately, as it’s all outside.  There are gravel and dirt walkways, some paved walkways, neat rocks to see, water flowing here and there, puddles here and there to jump in, a little mud here, a little dust there, and a lot of plants everywhere.  Bring the family for a great outdoor experience.  We’ll even have snack foods and drinks for purchase.
 
If I bring pictures, will someone draw a design or give suggestions for plantings?  Our sale is set up for self serve, and we will have our Natorp experts on hand to help answer your plant questions. However, they are so busy, there’s not enough time to be able to help in any landscape designing.  So, no landscape designing will be done at the Outlet Sale. We do suggest that you take advantage of our Landscape Design Kit available through our garden stores, or on or website, before the sale begins.
 
I’m a Natorp’s Preferred Gardener.  Will that count for anything at your nursery sale?   Since everything is already discounted, we won’t be able honor any Preferred Gardener Reward Coupons, senior discounts, garden store coupons or any other discounts.  However, we will credit your total purchases from the sale towards your future reward coupons, so be sure to bring your Preferred Gardener card!  You will be able to use your Natorp Gift Letters, Natorp Gift Certificates and Natorp Gift Cards at the sale.
 
Can I call and check on the availability or pricing of a certain plant during the sale?  No, we're sorry we can't do that. We’d love to be able to check for you, but with the inventory changing daily, and everyone working hard to take care of our on hand customers, we aren’t able to check plant availability or pricing.  But, we do invite you to keep stopping in during the sale to see for yourself!  Many items will be restocked during the sale.
 
Are these same prices available at the garden stores?   The stores will be having their own sales on certain items, but certainly not like what you’ll be finding at the Outlet sale, where EVERY plant is discounted!  You’ve got to come see it, to believe it!
